SF BAY AREA, CA (May 7, 2023) — The Hike for Hope on Saturday, May 6, raised nearly $125K to support the Hope Hospice based in Dublin, CA.

The event provides an annual memorial hike and fundraiser that generates support for the non-profit organization. Hope relies on this important event to raise crucial funding for patient care and to keep their grief support services, dementia education, and family caregiver resources available to the community at no charge.

Hundreds of hikers converged at Del Valle Regional Park, in Livermore amid scattered showers. But with rain ponchos and umbrellas the participants happily forged ahead on this beautiful lakeside walk. A lone bag pipe player helped send them on their way.

Many of the hikers brought their dogs along, from tiny terriers to huge hounds who greeted each other and helped their owners make new friends. Some families took to the trail with baby strollers as well.

After the hike, attendees enjoyed a BBQ lunch, which came after the scattered showers of the early morning subsided.
