Mt. Diablo Unified School District terminates Superintendent Martinez

In a stunning move Thursday night, MDUSD board unanimously terminated the contract of Superintendent Robert Martinez just 10 months after same board members picked him. Two of those board members are not seeking reelection this November. An immediate search has begun for Martinez’ replacement.

The Pioneer will have more complete coverage of this story next week in our June 5 issue, which will be the first time back in print since the COVID-19 shelter-in-place went into effect in March.
