Clayton Cleans Up set for Sat., April 20
The Pioneer staff: Pete Cruz, Pamela Wiesendanger and Tamara Steiner

Claytonians will gather Sat., April 20 for the 12th Annual Clayton Cleans Up in honor of Earth Day and to spiff up the town for the popular CBCA Art and Wine Festival April 27 and 28.

Volunteers check in at the Clayton City Hall at 9 a.m., to pick up trash bags and designer t-shirts. Then meet back in the courtyard at noon for a BBQ.

This year’s t-shirt, designed by local artist Renaye Johnson, celebrates Clayton’s walking trails and bridges.

The event is sponsored by The Pioneer and the city of Clayton with generous donations from Republic Services, CBCA, Travis Credit Union and Innovative Impressions. Clayton City Hall is at 6000 Heritage Trail, Clayton.

Download registration form from the city of Clayton website and bring filled out to event: ci.clayton.ca.us. For more information, call The Pioneer at (925) 672-0500.
