Volunteers Martha Tafur, left, Jeannette Ilyev, Mark Hutchings and Jacob Bomagat attended the Caring Hands volunteer appreciation dinner in February.

The Caring Hands Volunteer Caregivers Program is celebrating its 20th anniversary of creating enriching matches with seniors who treasure a visit, walk, social outing or occasional ride.

Concord resident Mark Hutchings, a longtime program volunteer, shares his many interests and talents with care receivers. He always says yes to a last-minute or early morning ride request.

If you can spare one to three hours a week to offer friendship and occasional rides, attend the Caring Hands volunteer training on May 17 at John Muir Health’s Concord Medical Center.
