To show appreciation to our dedicated front-line health-care workers, the Clayton Baha’i faith community provided 360 lunches and dinners to the John Muir hospitals in Concord and Walnut Creek.

The event was also a way to support a local business, with La Veranda restaurant in Clayton preparing the meals.

As the coronavirus has engulfed the world, humanity has woken up to the realization that we need to be armed with the power of unity. We must adopt a unified plan to combat the challenges ahead.

When a large Chinese NGO donated hundreds of boxes of medical supplies to the Middle East to help health-care workers, they printed a quotation from the Baha’i writings on each box: “So powerful is the light of unity that it can illuminate the whole earth.”
