City of Pleasant Hill seeks volunteers to serve on commissions

PLEASANT HILL, CA (Jan. 10, 2022) — Will this be the year you get more involved in your community? The City of Pleasant Hill needs community volunteers to fill several vacant commission spots.

Vacancies occur on City commissions, committees and boards (“commissions”) when terms expire or members unexpectedly need to resign from their positions. Many dedicated residents have served not just one term, but have enjoyed participation so much that they reapply and often serve multiple sequential terms.

Some vacancies have occurred or are expected to occur on several commissions. A few unfilled vacancies occured due to resignations, often related to residents moving out of the area.

As you contemplate your goals for 2022, consider applying to serve on one or more of these commissions:

  • Civic Action Commission
  • Commission on Aging
  • Iron Horse Corridor Advisory Committee
  • John Muir Community Health Fund Board
  • Measure K Oversight Committee
  • Planning Commission

The deadline to apply for most of these vacancies is Thursday, January 13, 2022. For more information or to apply online visit www.pleasanthillca.org/vacancy.

Note that many of these commissions are currently meeting online via Zoom to help keep everyone safe and healthy.
