CONCORD, CA (Jan. 18, 2024) — On Wednesday evening, an armed man robbed a woman inside a motel on the 4600 block of Clayton Rd. Concord Police received a description of the suspect and his car.

Patrol officers spotted the car and attempted a traffic stop, but the suspect fled and evaded officers.

A short time later, residents on Walters Way called and reported a solo car collision into a wall, with a man running away from the car. The car matched the description of the robbery suspect’s vehicle.

Officers set up a perimeter around the area and with the assistance of a police K9. They soon found the man hiding in a garbage enclosure. The suspect was booked into county jail.

Both the victim and suspect were from out of the area. Concord PD gave special thanks to residents on Walters Way and Lodge Drive for their support and assistance.
