CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (May 13, 2022) — There are so many news and social media outlets filling our airwaves with information that it’s hard to keep up. That’s why the League of Women Voters and two Contra Costa County agencies are offering a Zoom webinar to give voters the tools they need to stay informed and make decisions based on facts.

Offered 4-5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 19, “Making Democracy Work: Tools for Finding the Facts” will help voters learn strategies to find reliable and accurate election information. The program is sponsored by the League of Women Voters Diablo Valley, the League of Women Voters West Contra Costa County, Contra Costa TV and the Contra Costa County Library.

Panelists include Joel Breakstone of the Stanford History Education Group, Contra Costa Deputy County Clerk Tommy Gong and Erik Berman, coordinator of Services to Young Adults for the Alameda County Library. Susan Hildreth, a librarian, administrator and educator, will moderate.

Register at programs@lwvdv.org. Information on how to access the Zoom webinar will be sent to your email address 24 hours before the program. Audience questions will be collected and answered through the Zoom chat. The program will also be recorded and posted after the meeting.
