Volunteers needed for Martinez’ King of the County BBQ & Music Festival, June 16-18
MARTINEZ, CA (June 8, 2023) — Martinez Chamber of Commerce is looking for volunteers for next week’s King of the County BBQ Competition and Music festival.
In exchange for agreeing to fill a slot for the various booths, you will be rewarded with:
- A single beer or wine glass
- 2 drink tickets good for 2 drinks – either beer or wine
- $100 Hotel Savings card
You can pick up your reward at the Martinez Chamber of Commerce booth after completion of your shift.
Description of booths
Ticket Sales
There will be 3 ticket booths. The duties include collecting the money for the purchase of either a beer or wine glass and 2 tickets for alcoholic beverages. The volunteer will then check identification to ensure the individual is over the age of 21 and put a colored wristband on the individual’s wrist of choice. Note: the wristband MUST be affixed to the individual prior to leaving the ticket booth.
Wine booths
There will be 3 wine booths. The duties include ensuring the individual has purchased a wine glass and is wearing a wristband. The volunteer will take the ticket and pour a glass of wine (in the glass provided by the purchaser.
