CLAYTON, CA (Oct. 18, 2021) — Travis Credit Union offers you a great opportunity to properly dispose of personal and financial information you no longer want to keep.

This includes old account statements, outdated health records, and old tax information. Data is the most important part of information security and also a sensitive one. The most serious threat to data privacy is information being compromised because we do not always have adequate data protection measures in place to properly destroy sensitive paperwork.

Consider shredding mail and paperwork that includes:

Prepare for document shredding

  • Before heading out to the event, place your documents in boxes or paper bags in the backseat or trunk of your vehicle.
  • When you arrive at the event we ask that you remain in your vehicle and follow the signs directing you to the shred truck.
  • When it’s your turn to drop-off, simply unlock your doors or trunk and our team will take the items you specify for shredding.
