Three Arrested at Concord DUI Checkpoint

Concord, Calif. (Dec. 19, 2021) – Concord Police arrested 3 individuals while conducting a DUI checkpoint on December 17. Officers held the checkpoint at Monument Boulevard and Erickson Drive from 7 PM to 3 AM.

Police contacted 744 vehicles during the evening and arrested three for DUI.

They based the checkpoint locations on a history of crashes and DUI arrests. The primary purpose of checkpoints is not to make arrests, but to promote public safety by deterring drivers from driving impaired.

The Concord Police Department is committed to keeping the public safe when they travel.

A grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, provided funding for this checkpoint. This comes through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
