Staying Safe and Giving Back!

Happy New Year! We have two topics for this month:

Electrical Upgrades: As folks look to add additions to their home, spring for that hot tub, add exterior patio lighting, upgrade and/or up-size the furnace or AC and so on, one item that is often overlooked is the need to upgrade the electrical wiring. Bringing these extra components online may overload your base electrical system, especially with older homes. This costly work is often overlooked when budgeting for these new items and a capacity assessment may be considered out of scope, by your contractor. An overloaded electrical system can cause the wires to overheat and potentially start a fire.

If upgrades on are your docket for 2021, make sure to ask your general contractor or an electrician if you will need to also consider an upgrade to your electrical system.

Charity of the Month

At Safe at Home, we have added Giving Back to our list of New Year’s Resolutions.

Starting in January, we will donate a portion of our revenue to a different charity each month. Follow along on our website, Instagram or Facebook as we announce the “Charity of the Month” and associated donations.
