Standing Up to Hate Crimes in CaliforniaCONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (May 9, 2023) — Hate crimes are on the rise in California.  Join a webinar on Thursday, May 18 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. to learn how county and local governments plan to address hate crimes.

A panel will provide timely and important information about the current hate crimes crisis. Members will discuss the actions state, county and local government agencies will take against the perpetrators, and how victims can utilize their support services.

Contra Costa County Library will provide closed captioning for this event and simultaneous Spanish interpretation. They will record the program and uploaded it to the Library’s YouTube channel after the event.
