Solo Opera's production of Scalia/Ginsburg nearly sold out
Solo Opera’s Scalia/Ginsburg opens Sept. 10.

WALNUT CREEK, CA (Aug. 27, 2021) — Only a handful of tickets remain for next month’s production of Scalia/Ginsburg, from Solo Opera.

Originally scheduled to produce the show last August timed just before the presidential election, Solo Opera was, of course, saddened to have had to cancel when the pandemic hit and everything shut down. But the opera’s theme, “We are different. We are one.” is almost more important to produce coming out of the pandemic as its message is one of healing, friendship, diversity, and inclusiveness.

The English-language opera includes a fabulous cast: Nikki Einfeld as “Ginsburg,” Christopher Bengochea as “Scalia,” and Kirk Eichelberger as the “Commentator.” A seven-piece orchestra will accompany the chamber opera under the baton of Maestro Alexander Katsman.

An incredible production team will be led by Solo Opera Artistic Director, Sylvia Amorino, as stage director/producer. A 30-minute pre-show lecture by Ian Kelley, Professor of Constitutional Law, takes place one hour before each show.  The show opens Friday, Sept. 10 at 8:00pm with a second show Sunday, Sept. 12 at 2:00pm. It all happens at the Lesher Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek.

For tickets click here or call (925) 943-7469. The Sunday show is completely sold out, so hurry and get your tickets for Friday’s show.
