Sept. 15 deadline to help update the Community Wildfire Plan for Contra Costa

The Draft Contra Costa County CWPP is ready for your review and input. A Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) is a collaboratively developed plan that identifies wildland fire hazards, prioritizes ways to reduce those hazards and recommends measures for homeowners and communities to reduce ignitability of structures. DFSC has been working with community members and agency partners to update the existing Contra Costa County plan adopted in 2009.

The deadline for completing the survey or sending comments is September 15, 2019. The wildfire survey is available at the link below. Comments can also be submitted in writing by email to: DFSCMiller@comcast.net or by mail to Diablo Fire Safe Council PO Box 18616, Oakland CA 94610-0616.
