‘Running for My Life’ tells story of Congresswomen during Capitol riotColumns Sally Hogarty Stage StruckCONTRA COSTA COUNTY (4/7/2021) — “Running for My Life” offers first-hand accounts of what some of the women in Congress were going through during the Jan. 6 siege on the Capitol.

Part of Contra Costa Civic Theatre’s Reading Stage, the show will air at 4 p.m. April 11 via Zoom.

“Running for My Life” features actresses from across the country reading brief accounts from 23 congresswomen. It’s a harrowing tale of what that day was like on a very personal level. I am privileged to be a part of the reading, telling the story of Rep. Betty McCollum (D-Minn.).

Suggested donation is $10. RSVP at https://bit.ly/3dzM7o0.

The performance will not be available after the April 11 showing, so please sign up to watch it live.
