CLAYTON, CA (Oct. 1, 2023) — Clayton’s 2-day Oktoberfest celebration got underway on Saturday. The mild weather brought out a good crowd to enjoy the traditional fall festivities.

Visitors can enjoy German beer and food, plus dancing to live music in an authentic Munich biergarten. A lively party gathers in the big tent. Main Street is lined with arts and craft vendors selling everything from hot sauces to jewelry to Oktoberfest gear. Kids of all ages will delight in a full-size carnival, with amusement rides, game booths and street performers.

Clayton’s popular Oktoberfest has taken advantage of the picturesque setting downtown since 2004. Set under beautiful Mt. Diablo, it evokes a feeling of Bavaria.

Clayton’s Oktoberfest is presented by the Clayton Community and Business Association (CBCA). Funds raised by the event go into community programs including education and scholarships.

The final day of the festival runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free. For more information, go to ClaytonOktoberfest.com.
