Pleasant Hill's Light up the Night celebration returns Nov. 16
Light Up The Night returns to downtown Pleasant Hill this week.

PLEASANT HILL, CA (Nov. 15, 2022) — The community is invited to come downtown on November 16, 2022, for the return of the much-loved annual event, Light Up the Night.

The event takes place on Crescent Drive in the City’s downtown. From 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. come down and enjoy music, craft activities, hot chocolate, and more.

Ride the Holiday Express Train on Crescent Drive and listen to Victorian Carolers. The Firelight Shadow Theatre Company will share holiday-themed stories. And don’t miss the gathering at 6:30 p.m. for the lighting of the Holiday Tree.

The main stage will go up on Crescent Drive near Contra Costa Boulevard.

The schedule for the stage is:

  • 5:00 – 5:30 p.m. – Studio A Dancers
  • 5:30 – 6:10 p.m. – Firelight Shadow Theatre Tree Lighting will occur from 6:15 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. in the plaza near Jack’s
  • 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. – West African Highlife Band

Other activities occurring during the evening include:

  • Photos with Santa
  • Fairy Face Painting
  • Holiday Express Train
  • Hot Chocolate and Cookies
  • Craft Activities for kids

You will also find booth activities with the Lions Club, Rotary Club of Pleasant Hill, Chamber of Commerce, Diversity Commission, Stay Pleasant Hill, Pleasant Hill Rec and Park, and the Civic Action Commission.

And get a chance to meet your Pleasant Hill Police Dept and tour fire engines from Contra Costa Fire Department.
