Pleasant Hill sees rise in calls for service and property crimes in March 2025

PLEASANT HILL, CA (Apr. 5, 2025) — The Pleasant Hill Police Department responded to 5,899 incidents so far in 2025, marking a 2.3% increase in calls for service compared to the same time last year, according to the department’s March crime statistics report.

In March alone, police made 89 arrests, with 98% involving adults and 37% classified as felonies. There were no reports of homicide, rape, or hate crimes during the month.

Property crimes remained the most common offenses, with:

  • 88 larcenies (including shoplifting, auto break-ins, and thefts)
  • 8 residential burglaries
  • 7 auto thefts
  • 5 business burglaries

On the other hand, person crimes were lower, including:

  • 4 aggravated assaults
  • 5 robberies

The department also reported 13 injury traffic accidents, 22 drunk driving incidents, and 6 handicap parking violations. No fatal traffic collisions occurred in March.

Officers issued 2,121 citations, with 48% categorized as hazardous.

Pleasant Hill Police continue to monitor crime trends and encourage residents to report suspicious activity.
