Pleasant Hill Police arrest 13 in retail theft operation
PLEASANT HILL, CA (Sept. 29, 2023) — This week, Pleasant Hill’s Investigations Bureau and Patrol teams worked a joint operation to combat organized retail crime and retail theft in the Crossroads Shopping center.
Through coordination with multiple Loss Prevention partners, officers made a total of 13 arrests for a variety of charges such as petty theft, narcotics, and active warrants.
The following individuals were arrested and will have charges filed with the District Attorney’s office:

Rigoberto Lujan (33) Walnut Creek
Brandon Lujanflores (24) Walnut Creek
Jennifer Santos (22) Concord
Nancy Echeverria (22) Oakland
Marissa Smallwood (41) Pittsburg
Roderick Patterson (22) Pittsburg
Denise Bouwsma (64) Benicia
Christy Staudinger (48) Vallejo
These collaborations with businesses around Pleasant Hill make one thing clear, according to a statement by the PHPD. Suspects hoping to make local businesses their targets should know: “WHEN you are caught stealing from our stores, you will be arrested and booked into custody.”
The PHPD has plans for additional operations throughout the upcoming holiday season.
