Mt. Diablo Unified School District invites you to July 31 or Aug. 4 hiring fairCONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (July 29, 2021) — Mt. Diablo Unified School District is committed to recruiting, hiring, and retaining the most qualified candidates to support students, families, and the community. Because of this, MDUSD will host two job fairs to help find teachers and staff.

The first event happens Saturday, July 31 from 12pm-5pm. If you can’t make that event, they will hold another job fair on August 4 from 4pm-7pm. Both events take place at the district office, 1936 Carlotta Dr., Concord, CA 94519.

Special Education positions

Are you a classified employee of a local school district, a teacher who wants to focus on Special Education, or you simply have a calling for teaching children with disabilities? MDUSD wants you. They have partnered with a local college to help you earn your credential to prepare you to teach students with exceptional needs.

If you have a Bachelor’s Degree, the district may be eligible to place you on a Provisional Internship Permit while you earn your Education Specialist Credential to allow you to begin teaching this Fall. They encourage candidates to apply here.

Saint Mary’s College of California, Kalmanovitz Graduate School of Education, has partnered with the Mount Diablo Unified School District to offer the Mild-to-Moderate Education Specialist Credential Program to their employees. The program offers:

  • Reduced tuition by 22% for qualified participants.
  • Additional stipend of $3750 for qualified participants.
  • Tuition assistance available
  • The 2022 cohort starts in January with completion in 18 months.
  • Classes meet 2-3 days a week from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
  • Classes mainly held at the MDUSD Willow Creek Professional Development Center- 1026 Mohr Lane Concord. And also on the Mary’s College campus.
