CLAYTON, CA (Nov. 3, 2021) —Morgan Territory Road between Clayton and Livermore is closed to through traffic tonight through Thursday.

A large trailer carrying a load of steel is stuck crosswise about a mile north of the EBRPD Morgan Territory Staging Area. The trailer has two blown rear tires.

According to Carrie Richie from Contra Costa County Public Works, the driver hauling the steel tried to deliver it to a Morgan Territory Road address, but it was refused. The trailer got stuck when the driver attempted to turn around on the remote, one lane road.

The CHP is arranging to have the trailer towed. The road will remain closed through Thurs., Nov 4.
