WALNUT CREEK, CA (Nov. 4, 2021) — Laurie Roldan, local actress and singing artist will bring Karen Carpenter’s comforting musical magic from the 70s to the East Bay. Her upcoming Cabaret Concert runs Nov 5-14 at the Lesher Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek.

Laurie’s soft, poignant voice fits perfectly with the velvety voice of Karen Carpenter during her 13-year musical reign in the 70s & 80s. Her songs have buoyed hearts with lyrics such as “so many roads to choose, we start off walking and learn to fly.”

Karen and Richard Carpenter’s recordings in some ways, helped many to survive, stay alive and perhaps, even thrive.

The program includes some of Karen Carpenter’s greatest hits including Yesterday Once More, Those Good Ole Dreams, I Won’t Last a Day Without You, and We’ve Only Just Begun

This delightful Cabaret Concert features special guest vocalists Anita Colotto, Clarisse Nichole, Charlotte Jeffries, and Stephanie Hill. It also features musicians Roberta Drake and Pat Tinling.
