Letter to the Editor: Alert to the Critical CNWS Reuse Term Sheet Vote

CONCORD, CA (Dec. 6, 2022) — Your support needed: reject Seeno (Concord First) as a Master Developer for the Concord Naval Weapon Station Reuse Project.  The Term Sheet has now been presented on the Concord website.

We need your help to end this role for him and move instead to previously reviewed developers who are experienced and committed to environmentally sound, community and business success focused designs.

Here are key concerns not supported so far in the term sheet:  1 infrastructure including meeting new standards for recycled water for every landscape, open space and electric power delivery; 2 building of school sites & fire station must be included in earlier phases; 3 because of 100% union labor PLA/25% affordable housing  developers cannot build/profitably except $$ $eeno.

REVIEW THE TERM SHEET!  Attend meetings!  Email city councilmembers! All of us are impacted.

Thursday, Dec. 15 at 6 p.m.: Community Meeting #2 and Presentation of the Term Sheet

Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023 at 9 a.m.: Special City Council Meeting, featuring an opportunity for public comment on the Term Sheet prior to Council decision
