Join the Roadmap to Voting 2022 conversation on Sept. 15
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (August 31, 2022) — Join a Community Conversation webinar on Thursday, September 15 at 4:00 p.m. Participants will learn important information about how to ready yourself for the November 8, 2022 General Election.
The webinar will offer information about changes that the Contra Costa County Election Office has made to enhance security and improve the efficiency of counting ballots. Organizers will highlight tools like the League of Women Voters’ “Voter’s Edge” to help voters become more informed about candidates and issues.
In addition, panelists will explain the responsibilities of elected officials and how their offices impact you. Panelists include:
- Debi Cooper and Tommy Gong, Contra Costa County Elections Office
- Marian Shostrom, Voters’ Edge County Coordinator, League of Women Voters of Diablo Valley
- Maureen Toms, Council member, Pinole City Council
- Devin Murphy, Mayor ProTem, Pinole City Council.
Martha Goralka will moderate the panel. Goralka serves as voter Services Co-Chair for the League of Women Voters of Diablo Valley.

Registered participants will receive an email with information on how to access the Zoom webinar 24 hours before the program. Moderators will collect and answer audience questions through the Zoom chat.
