CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (Oct. 6, 2023) — The U.S. Dept. of Labor released the latest job report Friday. It shows the national unemployment rate remains relatively low at 3.8%.

The number of unemployed persons remained essentially unchanged at 6.4 million. Average hourly earnings rose 0.2%; up 4.2% year-on-year. But looking closer to home, how do things look for Contra Costa County?
