Hope Hospice offering free grief workshops in May

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (April 23, 2023) — When you are grieving the loss of a loved one, you may feel overwhelmed by the ebb and flow of emotions.

Grief follows no standard path or timeline. There will be days that you are deep in your grief, and others when you feel lighter.

Grief can affect you physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. It can leave you with questions such as How long does grief last? Will I always feel this way? Why can’t I sleep?

Hope Hospice’s grief support services help adults and youth learn to process these feelings and find ways to move forward in a positive direction. Our services are offered at no charge to the local community, even if your loved one was not on our hospice service.

Upcoming Support Groups

Hope Hospice provides grief support services free of charge, but please register in advance by phone. Call (925) 829-8770 on weekdays, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. They require a brief assessment. Currently, they conduct support groups online by Zoom video conference. The services for young children are temporarily paused until they can resume in-person group gatherings.
