Great weekend at Clayton Oktoberfest 2019
Clayton’s Oktoberfest is in full swing this weekend, Oct. 5-6.
Visitors can enjoy German beer and food, plus dancing to live music in an authentic Munich biergarten. The wooden tables and benches were imported from Germany. A lively party gathers in the big tent. Main Street is lined with arts and craft vendors selling everything from hot sauces to jewelry to Oktoberfest gear. With more than 50 vendors, there’s a little something for everyone as this year’s festival. Kids of all ages will delight in a full-size carnival, with amusement rides, game booths and street performers.
Clayton’s Oktoberfest is presented by the Clayton Community and Business Association (CBCA). In 2018, the CBCA donated more than $162,000 to community programs – with more than 51 percent going toward education and scholarships.
The festival will run until 6 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free. For more information, go to ClaytonOktoberfest.com.
