Construction of Grayson Creek Desilt Project Begins Aug. 14

Martinez, Pacheco, and Pleasant Hill, CA (August 8, 2023) – Contra Costa County Public Works will soon begin construction of the Grayson Creek Desilt Project.

The construction schedule runs from Monday, August 14, 2023, through Tuesday, October 31, 2023, barring unforeseen circumstances. Work will occur between 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday (excluding holidays), weather permitting.

Drivers should expect delays near Imhoff Drive and along Pacheco Boulevard between Highway 680 and Chilpancingo Parkway during construction.

The work consists of removing approximately 25,000 cubic yards of silt in the Grayson Creek Channel to restore creek flow capacity. Funding for this project is provided by Flood Control Zone 3B Funds.
