Firefighters respond to CO2 leak at downtown Concord restaurant

CONCORD, CA (Dec. 5, 2023) — On Monday at 3:37 p.m., Con Fire firefighters responded to reports of a CO2 tank leaking inside of a restaurant on the 2000 block of Salvio Street in Concord.

Firefighters on scene found elevated levels of CO2 were present . They quickly stopped the tank leak and ventilated the area.

After the hazmat  crew confirmed it was safe, business returned to normal operations. One person reported feeling dizzy but did not require transport. No other injuries were reported.
