CONCORD, CA (June 18, 2022) — De La Salle golf  went all the way this spring winning the school’s first CIF State championship since 2006 in dominate fashion.

The school won NCS by 32 strokes, NorCal by 14 strokes and finished 11 shots lower than Torrey Pines in the state tournament at San Gabriel Country Club. Joey Hayden was medalist at NCS and was the top finisher at State, shooting 68 for fourth place overall.

The last time De La Salle was No. 1 in California, the medalist at the state championships was Rickie Fowler, who has over $30 million in PGA tour earnings.

Teammate Joshua Kim was fifth, Jaden Dumdumaya tied for sixth, Jack Jerge was 15th and Colin Keith 20th at State.

At NorCals, Dumdumaya was the lowest Spartan scorer tying for second overall and Kim was eighth.

The balanced talent of the DLS lineup showed with Jerge tied for the second low score at North Coast and Dumdumaya another shot back.
