CONCORD, CA (Apr. 2, 2024) — For the first time ever, Clayton Valley Charter High School is sending a robotics team to the VEX World Championship in Dallas, Texas on April 24 – 27, 2024. It is an unprecedented achievement since no high school Robotics Team in East Contra Costa County has ever competed in the World Championship.

The VEX Robotics World Championship is the largest robotics competition in the world. With over 40,000 teams worldwide, the Juniors Team 94517x is one of 2,400 top teams qualified to compete in the World Championship.

The World Championship is a true celebration of all the hard work and dedication of the teams. There will be 30,000+ student competitors, and 50,000+ attendees, from 50 states and 50+ countries.

“We are looking forward to competing with and against the friends we made this season at the events and are excited to meet new ones from all over the world.” says Team Captain and Programmer Eric Catalano.

Also part of the team is Master Builder Santi Martinez, Quartermaster and Builder Alex Mihalov, CAD designer and Builder Will Gallagher, and Documentation and Marketing Manager Asher Wan.
