CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (Sept. 24, 2023) — Congressman Mark DeSaulnier (CA-10) is seeking a District Representative in his Walnut Creek or Antioch, CA office to serve as an advisor. The representative will monitor district and local issues, including staying abreast of local news and events.

Other duties include acting as a liaison to federal, state, and local agencies and to represent the Congressman in meetings and at events. This person will help shape the Congressman’s schedule and work with constituents, including handling casework and ensuring timely responses. Position will exercise discretion and independent judgment.

Qualified candidates should be hard-working and possess excellent oral and written communications skills. They should have the ability to meet deadlines, manage competing demands, and produce a quality work product.

A knowledge of the local area is a plus. This position is responsible for attending evening and weekend events as needed and should have the ability to travel throughout California’s 10th Congressional District. Reports to District Director. Title and responsibilities are negotiable based on candidate’s experience.
