CONCORD, CA (Dec. 15, 2021) — This past Saturday the Concord Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team (SET) put on a toy drive at the Pleasant Hill Target.

Members of the SET Team collected toys for the Monumental Toy Drive and participated in the distribution of the toys to local families in need. The community came together and well surpassed the department goals of “stuffing” one cruiser. Instead they filled up four cruisers with toy donations.

The Concord Police Department and the SET team remain committed to giving back to the community. From keeping the streets safe to coordinating community events, these public servants give it their all.

Events such as this touch the core of the Concord’s mission statement, “To partner with our community to deliver excellent service and plans for the future while preserving, protecting and enhancing the quality of life.”

A department spokesperson said, “Thank you to the community for the donations. We were overwhelmed with the sense of unity and support shown during this event! Stay safe and Happy Holidays!”
