Concord Police close Meadow Lane for murder investigation Saturday

CONCORD, CA (Apr. 16, 2022) — All traffic on Meadow Lane in Concord has been closed due to police activity Saturday afternoon.

Concord Police officers did not let anyone through the intersection where Belmont Road connects to Meadow Lane at 12:30 pm. Officers at the scene said the closure was due to a murder investigation.

Update, Sunday, Apr. 17, 2022. Concord Police have made an arrest in the shooting that took place Saturday morning.

An as yet unidentified man was reported shot on Meadow Lane near Johnson Drive around 10 am. The man, who was shot multiple times, was taken to a hospital but did not survive.
