Concord High Music March-a-thon is heading your way Saturday, Sept. 24
If you hear music in your Concord neighborhood on Saturday, Sept. 24, it’s likely the Concord High School March-a-thon.

CONCORD, CA (Sept. 23, 2022) — Concord High music students plan to march through the neighborhoods around their high school on Saturday.

The young musicians want to say “Thank You” to the community for it’s support and to collect donations to keep the program running. If you live in the area, listen out for them on Saturday as they ’round the bend.

The Instrumental Music Program students will march 6.5 miles through the neighborhoods. The students love seeing neighbors. little kids, and future CHS musicians along the way.  Donations will help them through another award-winning season.

CHS relies on fundraising to offer a robust music education program. More than 200 students enroll each year in Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensemble I, Jazz Ensemble II, String Orchestra, Color Guard, Music Technology, Piano, & Guitar. The annual March-a-Thon is one of their biggest fundraisers.

What do the donations support?

  • Uniforms, Sheet Music, Instruments, Equipment, Maintenance and Repairs, Competition Fees,
  • Workshops, Transportation costs, Putting on Concerts/Events, and more.

These musicians represent the Concord community at local, state, and national events and consistently earn top awards.

Please consider sponsoring this award-winning program, led by Director Martin Lejano. Donations are tax-deductible (Fed Tax Id#: 88-0962945).

If you have received one of their donation envelopes already, fill it with cash or a check. Students will come by the morning of September 24 to pick it up when the band passes by.
