Concord City Council plans for youth sports complex at Naval Weapons Station
Concord mayor Carlyn Obringer has announced that the City Council is working on developing a “community-informed and focused vision” for a youth tournament sports complex and city park. The new facility will be built at the former Concord Naval Weapons Station.
The city is inviting the public to attend a workshop on March 30 which will solicit feedback from interested community members. The workshop take place at the Willow Pass Community Center from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sat. March 30. You must register for the workshop by Thurs., March 28 to attend. If you are not able to attend, you can email the mayor at carlyn.obringer@cityofconcord.com to let her know your ideas about this project.
