Concord candidates to face off during Wednesday’s forum at City Hall

CONCORD, CA (Sept. 27, 2022) — Concord candidates for city council and city treasurer will speak out at the Concord Chamber of Commerce Candidates Forum Wed., 6-8 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Concord City Hall.

In District 1, Robert Ring and Quinne Anderson hope to unseat incumbent and vice-mayor Laura Hoffmeister who is running for her 7th term. Laura Nakamura is challenging incumbent Tim McGallian for the District 5 seat. Dominic Aliano is running unopposed in District 3 and has yielded his forum spot to allow more time for the other candidates.

Two are on the ballot for city treasurer, incumbent Patti Barsotti and D’Marco Anthony, although Anthony has declined to participate in the forum and won’t be present.

Candidates will field questions from moderator Tamara Steiner, chair of the Chamber’s Government and Economic Policy Committee. Audience members can submit their own questions, as well.
