ARF stars Blizzard and Mercedes are looking for forever homes

WALNUT CREEK, CA (May 15, 2022) — Adopt a new best friend at ARF in Walnut Creek.

View available dogs and cats online or visit us in-person during open hours – no appointment necessary. ARF is open for adoptions Wednesday through Sunday, 12 to 6 pm. Early-bird sign-in available Wednesday through Sunday beginning at 9 am.

The ARF team will guide you in choosing a pet and share information about their history and behavior while at ARF. They also provide helpful resources. This process can take time. Please allow 60-90 minutes for in-person appointments. No meet a few of the adorable animals looking for love.

Blizzard

One-year-old Blizzard is a zesty young chap who exudes joy and believes in letting the good times roll. This kid is sure to bring the fun wherever he goes with his sweet, silly, and active personality.

With plenty of energy for all the adventures you’d want to embark on, plus his friendly and outgoing nature, Blizzard is ready for anything. He already knows “sit”, and would love to continue his training for mental stimulation, plus of course the reward of tasty treats.

If you’re looking for a dog who will bring the fun and help you see the lighter side of life, Blizzard is the boy for you! Blizzard has a positive history with other dogs, currently weighs 60 pounds, and his adoption fee has been prepaid by a generous donor.

ARF adoption fees: $250 for an adult dog, $350 for a puppy (<6 months), $125 for a special-needs dog, $175 for a special-needs puppy (<6 months), and $125 for a senior dog (7+ years). Adoption fees are waived for US military Veterans.

Mercedes

One-year-old Mercedes is an affectionate girl who is looking for a patient home where she can continue to grow her confidence. She truly enjoys cuddles, is curious and mellow.

You’ll be amazed by how precious this cat is once she comes out of her shell. Mercedes’s adoption fee has been prepaid by a generous donor.

ARF Adoption fees: $100 for an adult cat, $150 for a kitten (<6 months), $150 for two adult cats, $250 for two kittens, $50 for a special-needs cat, $75 for a special-needs kitten (<6 months), and $50 for a senior cat (7+ years). Adoption fees are waived for US military Veterans.
