CONCORD, CA (Feb. 9, 2024) — Clayton Valley Charter made it two wins out of two this season against rival Campolindo 57-54 Thursday night in Dan Della Gym on the Concord campus in the semi-finals of the Diablo Athletic League boys basketball playoffs.

The Eagles visit Ygnacio Valley, the regular-season champions, in the playoff finale Saturday night and then both schools will await Sunday’s North Coast Section seeding meeting to find out where they will start their NCS playoff action next week.

Ygnacio Valley handed CVCHS its largest defeat of the season 66-39 with a third quarter blitz that gave them a one-game margin over the Ugly Eagles in the final regular season standings. The Wolves won their semi-final 69-54 over fourth-place Benicia, reversing Ygnacio Valley’s only league defeat 66-56 a week earlier in Concord. That was the Wolves first defeat since the first week of January.
