A3 Crisis Call Center now operating 24/7 in Contra Costa County

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (Jan. 10, 2024) — Contra Costa Health recently announced that as of Dec. 1, 2023, the A3 Miles Hall Crisis Call Center is operating around the clock. A3 is Contra Costa County’s innovative approach to assuring that Anyone, Anywhere, Anytime has access to mental and behavioral health support during a crisis.

Anyone with a mental or behavioral health emergency (or their family member or law enforcement official) can call 1-844-844-5544 and be connected to a mental health clinician who will provide care over the phone or send a mobile care team.

The City of Concord is proud to have been involved in the development of A3, with the Concord Police Department playing a significant role in the development of the County Mobile Crisis Response Team response to in-progress mental health crisis calls and call-diversion.

The extension of the call center hours to 24/7 is an important step in expanding behavioral health care in Contra Costa County, ensuring people experiencing behavioral health crises receive professional, timely and compassionate support.

Over the coming months, A3 will continue to evolve and, as part of that, they continue to seek qualified individuals to do this important work.
