Contra Costa Halloween Con this Sunday in Concord

CONCORD, CA (Oct. 20, 2023) — Contra Costa Halloween Con is THIS Sunday, Oct. 22. It features toys, pop culture, comics, anime, jewelry, collectibles and many of your favorites from movies, TV and video games in the Hilton Concord Hotel.

The show is open from 10 am to 4 pm with free parking. Kids 9 and under are free.

All things pop culture including toys, collectibles (new and vintage), anime, LEGO, comics, art, jewelry and much more will be featured at this family-friendly show presented by Bay Area Festivals and American Brick Builders.

Michelangelo from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will join the fun to for free photo opportunities. Also available for free photos, look for Mario, Princess Peach, Donkey Kong, Sonic the Hedgehog and Shadow the Hedgehog.

Also on hand at the event, Cooley Jaxson, the White Power Ranger, Grover in a stage production of “Sesame Street Live,” a Solid Gold dancer and the man who taught Michael Jackson the Moonwalk.

Costume contest

The free, family-friendly Halloween Cosplay Costume Contest for attendees will feature cash prizes for creative costumes in different age groups. Contest registration happens during the day with contest judging at 3 o’clock.

The latest items and collectibles from Disney, Transformers, Funko Pop, LEGO, Pokémon, G.I. Joe, Marvel, DC Comics, Dragon Ball Z, My Hero Academia, Hot Wheels and much more will be available from the variety of exhibitors at the show. Other featured items include posters, art, prints, t-shirts, hats, apparel, anime, comics, LEGO, buttons, classic video games, jewelry, games and cards.

Advance general admission tickets include a $2 Toy Buck with each purchase. That promotion ends at 9 a.m. on Oct. 22.

Online sales continue until the end of Contra Costa Halloween Con. Door sales begin at 9:45 a.m. at the Hilton Concord on Oct. 22.
