CONCORD, CA (April 22, 2023) — Trumark Homes hosted a ceremonial check presentation at Concord’s El Monte Elementary School with school and city officials recently. The homebuilder, with divisions in California and Colorado, donated $12,000 to El Monte to provide a new audio/visual system for the school’s auditorium.

El Monte students joined representatives from the Concord city council and Trumark Homes for the ceremony. Organizers planned it to coincide with the school’s spring play debut, the Disney KIDS musical, “Aladdin.” This production used the newly installed equipment for the first time.

At the ceremony, El Monte principal Jeffrey Miles joined students and staff in welcoming some special guests. Concord mayor Laura Hoffmeister, Councilmember Carlyn Obringer, and Mt. Diablo Unified School District Board of Education Trustees and Administrators met with John Willsie, Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel of Trumark Homes, who presented the check.

“Our students and staff are so appreciative to Trumark Homes for this investment in our school and the upgrade to our auditorium’s technology for our activities and events,” said Miles. “The impact of gifts like this cannot be overstated, and we are grateful for this opportunity to debut the new A/V system for our spring production.”

“We are thrilled to be able to support the faculty and students at El Monte Elementary School with this donation,” said Willsie. “Championing the arts and enrichment of the students and broader community for years to come is rewarding and aligns with our company values.” Willsie is a Concord resident whose children attended MDUSD schools.

“This is an exciting day for El Monte and the talented student performers who will take the stage today,” said Obringer. “School staff, students, parents and the community at large will certainly benefit from Trumark Homes’ investment in the school and the auditorium for events and productions.”

Trumark Homes recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony with Concord officials to launch sales at Penny Lane, a charming, luxury townhome community located near El Monte Elementary School and the adjacent 30-acre Concord Community Park. Link to get more information about Penny Lane in Concord and Trumark Homes.
