So This Happened… Week of Nov. 22 to 28, 2021
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (Nov. 21, 2021) — In an always touching tribute, the Sons and Daughters of Pearl Harbor Survivors will host a lighting of the Mount Diablo beacon at the Cal State Concord campus at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 7. The event also includes viewing of a new USS Arizona exhibit.
Holiday wrap-up: Head down to Todos Santos Plaza on Dec. 3 for the Tree Lighting & Sing-Along, then over to the Concord Senior Center for the Craft Fair on Dec. 4. The season brings two letters to Santa programs: USPS Operation Santa “adopts” families for the season, while a more traditional letters to Santa drop-box is located at Centre Concord. Meanwhile, décor columnist Jennifer Leischer helps release your inner elf.
