Submissions for the East Bay Philanthropy Awards close on Sept. 20, 2021.

SAN FRANCISCO EAST BAY, CA (Sept. 1, 2021) — The 11th Annual East Bay Philanthropy Awards focuses on the theme Celebrating Resilience and Leading Us Forward.

The Wells Fargo sponsored awards event seeks to amplify the ways our region steps up for each other and with each other to overcome challenges and envision a better future.

But first, EBLC needs your nominations.

Submit a nomination by Monday, September 20, to help honor inspiring community leaders, philanthropists, employers, volunteers and youth. EBLC looks for those who are working to sustain generosity, overcome adversity, and help everyone in the East Bay reach their full potential.

How to Nominate

Step 1: Review the award criteria focused on equity, resilience, creativity, compassion, risk-taking, and sustained commitment. View past honorees or watch last year’s event for inspiration.

Step 2: Identify a nominee(s) who fit the criteria.

Step 3: Prepare a narrative (limit to appx. 500 words) that shares the story of your nominee, demonstrating the reasons why your nominee deserves to be honored. Tell us a little bit about their background and a story of how their generosity of time, resources, or spirit is making a difference for the East Bay (Alameda and Contra Costa County). Draft this narrative in a word document and save it for now.

Step 4: Scroll down and click “Start Your Nomination” to launch the nomination form. Please submit by the EOD on Monday, September 20.

Step 5: Officials will announce the honorees by Friday, October 1 and will contact all nominators with the results.
