Kidfest postponed – Concord volunteers collect food donations over Memorial weekend

For the 1st time in 31 years there was no Bay Area KidFest on Memorial Day Weekend in downtown Concord. KidFest’s long-time staff and a crew of volunteers from the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano were on hand Saturday morning at the KidFest site for a Drive-Through Food Collection.

Olaf from Disney’s “Frozen” was also there to thank all the families who dropped off bags of food during what would have been the first two hours of KidFest 2020 at Mt. Diablo High School. KidFest producer Jay Bedecarre applauds the very generous community members who took part in the food drive.
