Young “This is Us” actor to sign her children’s book at Clayton library Nov. 3
Makenzie Lee-Foster appeared as the younger version of Deja Andrews on the TV show This is Us. The actor comes to Clayton Library on Nov. 3 to sign her book, Kickin’ It with Kenzie—What’s meant for me, will be.
Born in San Jose, Makenzie started acting when she was 2. She has acted in TV shows, commercials and movies such as The Broken Rose and Snowfall. This year she published a children’s book.
Kickin’ It with Kenzie follows a young girl’s struggles to figure out what she wants to be when she grows up. After many disappointments, she realizes nothing will come easy to her and that her own destiny cannot be changed no matter how hard the journey may be. Bryce Sweely illustrated the book.
Clayton Community library hosts the book signing event from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3. The event will feature crafts, including puzzle decorating and creating your own book. Children can enter a free raffle and take red-carpet photos. Music, games and snacks will also be provided. The book costs $20 and serves as entry to the event.
