Work on Pleasant Hill Rd. Bridge over Taylor Blvd. expected to cause travel delays

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (Mar. 12, 2025) — Contra Costa County Public Works will begin work on the Pleasant Hill Road Bridge over Taylor Boulevard Preventative Maintenance Project on Monday, March 17, 2025. The work will continue through Wednesday, June 18, 2025, barring unforeseen circumstances.  Work will take place between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays), weather permitting.

The ramp connecting northbound Pleasant Hill Road and southbound Pleasant Hill Road may be closed intermittently. Detours will be in place. Drivers should expect up to 15-minute delays during construction.

The work generally consists of placing a polyester concrete overlay on the bridge deck, and patching concrete spalls on the bridge. Workers will also replace guardrails, do pavement reconstruction, slurry seal, and roadway striping.
