Vegan cinnamon roll bakery arrives in Todos Santos
Cinnaholic, the vegan cinnamon roll bakery, opened its Todos Santos location in Concord Friday. Customers lined up out the door well into the evening. The staff bakes a new batch of sweet rolls every 20 minutes to provide a fresh, warm cinnamon roll to every customer. You can choose from an impressive array of Cinnaholic’s signature frosting flavors and toppings. Toppings include caramel, bananas, strawberries and non-dairy cream cheese, with seasonal specials like Elderflower Power and Oh Sweet Matcha.
Co-founders Shannon and Florian Radke met in San Francisco in 2008 and bonded over a shared passion for animals and plant-based diets. Two years later, they opened their first Cinnaholic store in downtown Berkeley.
The couple gained fame on ABC’s Shark Tank in 2014 but ended up turning down the show’s business deal. Soon after, they began franchising their brand and have added locations in 10 states and Canada. Recently the Radkes appeared on Entrepreneur magazine’s Franchise 500® list.
All ingredients served at Cinnaholic are animal-free and contain no dairy, lactose, eggs or cholesterol, so your only risk of guilt will come from calories. The customers who lined up with children to get their first taste did not seem concerned about that. Enjoy!
Cinnaholic is located at 2008 Salvio St. in Concord. Visit their website cinnaholic.com. They open at 10 a.m. daily, until 9 p.m. on weeknights, 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 8 p.m. on Sundays.
