Toddler found unresponsive in Concord pool taken to hospital

CONCORD, CA (Aug. 24, 2023) — On Wednesday, Concord Police Officers responded to a call to the 3000 block of Chrisland Court.

A 20-month old child had been found unresponsive in the swimming pool. Officers performed CPR until paramedics arrived.

Paramedics took the toddler to a local hospital where she received medical care last night.

In Pleasant Hill, another child was found in a pool at an apartment complex near Diablo Valley College. The people who found the 3-year-old boy called 911 and said he was not breathing.

When fire crews arrived, the boy was alert but they took him to the hospital to be checked out. Officials are investigating how the child got into the gated off pool area.
